No... No friggin' way, this would have made the "you're a Synth, actually" storyline even more interesting!

A war criminal who isn't actually themselves (c'mon, they could've just as well had Nora be the war criminal, too), given the opportunity to choose between accepting or rejecting the memories, then choosing how to process said memories (or not)!

I can't believe just how majorly they blew it, they were sitting on a gold mine...

It's an unknown "link" because there isn't actually any connective tissue aside from FO4 protagonist being a former soldier. This is just a memberberry for the sake of a memberberry.

This is why I hate when people have secrets in TTRPGs and don't share them with other people out of character. If a secret never gets revealed, it might as well not exist. As a player, if I know your secret, I can help create interesting moments. Like if I knew your character is on the run for murdering someone in cold blood, it might be interesting for my character to let your character chase someone alone. It would give you as a player a chance to roleplay if you fall back into your old ways or you develop. Not the best example, but I think it still illustrates it.

Yeah but the fact this was tweeted by a fucking writer for fallout 4 makes this hilarious for me

That's my point though. If it was some random person it's whatever. A writer saying it gives a window into the headspace of the writing team.

Then i misread your comment lol, sorry

And even if he’s not the shooter, he’s still a participant in war crimes.

Member when your character was retconned Into a war criminal by a tweet?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 12 hours ago

Huh, I was going to challenge the usage of retcon for an "unrevealed detail" that doesn't contradict anything, but apparently it's for post release supplementary details too?

Which I would argue means literally every single event in a sequel is a retcon, and is dumb, but that's the definition Wikipedia goes with.

Emil lost his mind.

Bethseda keeps fucking up and retconning the lore of Fallout worse and worse and worse.

Nothing after New Vegas is canon to me.

This is why the lunatics should never run the asylum

Has anyone edited the tweet to change Nate’s picture to Trump?
