You know, he was president before. You can know what he cares about by having lived through Trump 1.0. Now he's brought along a bunch of weasels to grift, but he doesn't care about anything that helps you.

Everyone somehow completely forgot about the four year dumpster fire we had. All the news acts like he's an unknown. It's ridiculous.

They're still hoping he's playing 4D chess, not wrecking the country.

He may be playing on a 4d chess board but he's still a pigeon kicking things around and shitting on the board

A lot of these yahoos get their news from places that don't report on what a s***** job he did before and how badly he screwed us over. They still think that he is the greatest thing since the wheel and that he is their savior come to make everything all better.

We kinda fucked up electing Biden... If it would have been 8 years of straight Trump he would be decaying on a pike right now.

honestly you aren't wrong, but i know that i personally thought that once we got someone "normal" back in charge, people wouldn't want to go through that ever again and Trump would be lost to history. I'm still a little shell shocked that this is our reality instead

Same. I didn't expect Kamala to lose. I thought it would be close, but even losing the popular vote? I would have thought the Tweeting trauma from his first term would have been enough to stop people from voting. Just constant drama, nonstop national anxiety, plus add in the known quantity that was project 2025... In fact I believed that so much that I put some money on Kamala to win and hedged it with Trump to win, but lose popular vote (which was an insane 2.5x payout)...

Yeah, maybe Musk did rig the election... But even if he did, way too many people still naturally voted for Trump. 36.5% of people voted him in MA... The most liberal state most people think of. That's just crazy to me.

He killed 300,000 Americans. He was blantantly anti-muslim, anti-semitic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and sexist. And that still wasn't enough for people to keep him out of office.

I'm an Englishman that's lived in Australia for thirty years. I put $100 on Kamala to win because the odds meant that I would get back a fair bit more.
I was completely convinced that trump didn't stand any chance whatsoever.
Losing that money wasn't too upsetting. That trump got in is deeply disturbing though.

Americans lack the training to recognize and resist authoritarian propaganda

Work with me on this one. It's almost as if he doesn't care about anything other than himself. I know, crazy, right? And other than his entire history, there's been almost no hint of it.

Hard hitting stuff. Reminds me of when the press revealed that Brexit wouldn’t actually free up £300 million a week to spend on hospitals - or indeed any money ever - but only after the vote.

No shit MSNBC. Anyone reading one of your articles fucking knew that already.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago

He knew he couldn't. Why is anyone surprised by this?

Has it even been a full month?

In his last term Traitorapist Trump averaged:

20-25 documented lies per day every day, documented by WaPro before it became compromised.

1-2 times per week throwing food on the wall according to White House aides.

So we can make the following assumptions:

(1) Trump has told 600-750 lies so far.

(2) Trump has thrown food on the wall 4-8 times so far.

Treason Trump pulled a classic bait and switch. People stupidly thought they were voting against things like inflation and immigration. Instead they actually voted to massively degrade the quality of government towards Venezuelan levels and completely eliminate all the checks on government corruption.

Nor did his voters
