love the new hero splash arts, had no idea huntress needed spicing up tbh, but it totally did.
also am I the only one surprised by the fact that these splash arts were released half a decade ago..

You are not the only one who's surprised. The passage of time is terrifying.
Looks great! Huntress in particular always felt uncanny, her new look is far better. Not sure about rogue's changes though, he could use an eyepatch or scar to feel more roguish. Right now he feels generic?
Great to see trinket buffs as well, experienced players tend to avoid trinkets entirely to boost their winrate. There's only a few that they might use at +0 or +1 to be cost-effective. +3 trinkets are never used and there's not a lot of dungeon floors to justify the huge cost. Upgraded thrown weapons and darts are also worth looking into, a big chunk of them harms winrate when crafted, with only a few exceptions.
I agree that the Huntress is the most improved of the splashes. As for the Rogue, I agree that his splash is the most generic, but woudln't something liek an eyepatch or scar only worsen that?
As for Trinket, while I do want to keep making sure they're all viable, but people are definitely upgrading them. It's very dangerous to assume that the way you and people around you play is how everyone plays the game.
Huntress is definitely nicer! By "generic", I meant rogue is starting to look more like a generic guy instead of rogue, the previous design felt more... criminal? A scar or eyepatch are some ideas that would exaggerate and show that the character is a rogue, but it's not an important issue I think.
Though there may be some confirmation bias, I've been noticing more player complaints regarding trinkets outside of cliques. Ultimately trinkets make the game harder, which I am personally in favor of, but making choice-traps might not be the best way to do so. Data often have skewed meaning: I still try to +3 all the trinkets to see what it does, but the fact that I'm often upgrading them doesn't mean that I think it's a viable choice.
I used to think stuff like Parchment, Newt Eye and Mimic Tooth are good, but it's very resource-extensive and often puts me in a much worse position. Other alternatives (like shop RC scroll, torch) are cheaper and better. Nowadays, for serious runs I mostly ignore trinkets completely to guarantee wins, but this is of course my personal opinion and other players can upgrade trinkets and do whatever they want to make their game fun.
Yea this is important to emphasize, data will definitely lie. Newbies often use rogue and huntress which tanks their winrate, but that doesn't mean they're worse than warrior. And players who know a lot about the game will try weird things like upgrading bad rings and throwables (and win), but this doesn't mean that they're good upgrade options.
This isn't a game with massive daily players, and if data is from players who won once then it's a very small sample that can be easily manipulated. Sometimes I'm scared to win with a bad class + item because I know it'll muddy the data :/
I only consider gameplay data from players who have at least 1 win already, specifically because new players would have an outsized impact on winrates. However, the Warrior is the first character to unlock, so considering only newer players actually tanks his winrate the strongest, as absolute newbies have him as the only option.
You'd also be surprised about the number of runs in total. I won't give away specifics, but even when only considering 0-chal runs from people with 1+ wins it's on the order of thousands of runs a day. I actually specifically ignore runs from higher chals because at that stage the number of runs becomes too few to make meaningful inferences.
I know about the 1-win thing, it's awesome to hear that shattered has decent daily players and it's going strong, it's harder to manipulate with those numbers. The meaning of data is subjective, and a bad actor could try losing or winning a lot with a specific build to manipulate it. But it should be harder to do if those daily numbers are true.
Data isn't perfect, but it's objective.
Play however you want, it's a game, and it's fine lol
Eye of newt+3 is crazy good if you are playing with the challenge into the darkness. Parchment scrap is my second favorite.
I see that Power of Many had been revealed 👀
I wonder how many people actually noticed
