I realize LEDs have better color rendering, are more efficient, and are generally safer for pedestrians and drivers as street lighting. I get all that.

but you can not tell me sodium vapor lights aren't more aesthetically pleasing, and it is for this reason I will be sad to see them slowly disappear.

They also don't hurt your night vision the moment you leave their light unlike the white light.

It's the sodium vapor lamps that look like the setting sun.

I dont know why but ive always loved sodium lamps. Especially in tunnels, stairwells and parking garages.
