This is an excellent overview of the main highly-connected zones within Wikipedia.

Interesting to see the way wikipedia generally links to things having an effect on the link popularity. It seems like large general categories should have more links, like "sports" or "art". But if you go to the soccer page, it has a link to "team sports" but not "sports".
