An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.

https://dullmensclub.com/

1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine or advice forum.
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions, identify objects or get advice. We accept very few questions, and they must be over topics much more difficult than what is easily discoverable with a search. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. Not hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

8. All polls must have an "Africa, by Toto" option. Why? Because we hear the drums echoing tonight.

Wow, a whole week! That's gonna feel great to just take your time and do it right.

Took the week off just because I have a ton of PTO saved up because I never miss work haha. Decided I just didn't feel like going this week. Then decided might as well work around the house since I'm not working.

I don't think I know how to relax.

Your shed is easily the size of my entire flat.

As much as a PITA as this can be you'll feel so much better once it's done. I do this until I am totally exhausted about once every year. I never look forward to it but the purge and final results are so cathartic.

Good luck. My brother made a huge sea chanty playlist on Spotify of you need motivation.

I've been doing allot of blue grass/new grass recently. Even bought a mandolin a few months back. Sea shanties aren't too far off haha. Been learning allot of fiddle tunes and Irish stuff on the mandolin.

I can't find it! I can't remember his profile. But I'll ask him!

You got this.

Don't be afraid to pull everything out so you can set things up right, like with shelves.

And commit to never leaving anything in the aisle.

Yes! Pull it all out first. Put it back to reorganize.

This is the way.

Luckily previous owner left a cheap DVD/surround system hooked up in here with an aux cord haha.

Blast some tunes while you work and it'll go by faster and more pleasantly! It's gonna feel great to have that done in the end.

That's not bad.

Did you find any unwelcome critters?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 days ago

Haven't found any but we definitely have some mice.

There's two bags of earth on the left hand side. What's your plan with those?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago

If your talking about the diatomaceous earth I use that in the goat barn to help with any bugs in the winter time. Since they all spend more time inside in the winter.
