Colm makes some good comics. He's got a long running series about a 30 something guy starting his pokemon journey and basically just breaking all the rules to win. Blackmailing Oak, brass knuckles against pokemon, it's great.

You have to log in, and only Californians can opt out of them selling our personal data? I'll pass...

It's something for age check ig

On desktop you can bypass it with dev tools by deleting the line with ly_wrap fixed on, the line with id _dimForPopup and deleting style="overflow: hidden;" from the main body line, tho you'd have to do it manually everytime lmao

Thanks for the tip!

I don't get a login from Europe.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It’s just not loading from Canada D:

[–] snf 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Odd. Canada here as well, loads up a bit slow but gets there after maybe 10 seconds. No login required.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 days ago

It loads for me now! And yah, no login.

I get one in mobile. But it works in desktop mode.

That's a name I haven't heard in a looong time.

Because there is good and there is evil, and evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I shall not compromise in this. But there are so many deserving of retribution...and there is so little time.

Hey, at least bats isn't running them over with his tank-monstercar thing.

...bats isn't running them over with his tank-monstercar thing yet.

The first panel indicates that the light rays are some converging lines toward the shelf, probably from five further and further apart LEDs.

Her hand has no shadow. I'm assuming those shadows are just more nail polish placed in the dark.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

Look at the back of her hand, and the first two bottles, the light source is definitely up above. But look at the bottom of the bottle, the light source is from the reader's point of view.

Placed in the dark - like Batman.

On the other hand, we'll never catch him beating up corrupt leaders.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

Well actually he does that sometimes. Bat-Man Off World (coming to a close this week) has him facing off against the rulers of the Blakksun Mining Co. which enslaves planets worth of people to run its ship (and perpetual storm forcefeild) and mining operations, and kills dissenters horrifically somehow off panel. The colorist is doing a great job.

In Batman Year Zero, his very first act was confronting the rich. And in The Dark Knight Returns, he simply talked to a corrupt general, and said general resigned in an unusual yet honest way afterwards, shall we say.

[–] mrfriki 9 points 6 days ago

Corpo Batman.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

Maybe he just needs advice on a new shade to wear... Who's gonna believe them if they tell and he wants it kept private?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago (3 children)

I don't get it. Why Batman?

[–] [email protected] 28 points 6 days ago

I interpreted it in a few ways but mainly as a combination of making fun of Batman's crusade against all crime and also the way a lot of people seem to think policing should be done.

In this case it's batman beating up a teenager for stealing nail polish but that's not too far from shooting a 12 year old for jumping a turn style.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 6 days ago

The girls are moments away from being drop-kicked by Batman. He's well known for knocking suspects unconscious with blunt force.

[–] hakunawazo 3 points 5 days ago

Because he fights relentlessly against all evil.

Oh gawd I know… even older, since it wasn’t uploaded to YT for a few years after being uploaded to the main site…

[–] I_Has_A_Hat 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

So, are those girls secretly clayface? What is going on with their skin?

[–] abysmalpoptart 3 points 5 days ago

Can't tell if you're making a joke or actually asking, but they are probably sweating from nervousness.

Imagine this same scenario when Nicole and Jecka from Class of 09 stole a CD. oh wait
