Does that happen in the original Susan episode(s) or in the Islands arc? Not sure if I realized that before. It's a small detail that they might not have even originally planned out until they wrote Islands.

In the original episode featuring Susan the hoomans attack the candy people and try to eat them, cause candy is yummy. We see they are all mutants except.for Susan, whose headpiece is not removed and so we are left with no confirmation. I think it was always planned for her to be a human too.
Sorry I forgot to mention, it happens in the episode Preboot in S8.
Maybe, but considering the amount of planning that went into Steven Universe (the same team IIRC) it could very well have been planned (at least past a certain point where they actually started to flesh out AT's universe). Spoiler tagged image is basically the largest spoiler possible for Steven Universe, it's the drawing board for the entire timeline.
