A banana stand?

Edit: Nope.

Damn, ya got there before me.

I feel this is a hobby where people can get into obsessing about all the toys and trinkets. From the outside I assume it looks really embarrassing haha

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Clearly you've never had a hobby

SpoilerI do appreciate the aesthetics of having Espresso as a hobby. Bit too pricy for me tho, I'll stick with my $5 Moka pot lol

::: spoiler I went fairly hard down the espresso rabbit hole, lelit Mara x v2, niche zero, handful of accessories. I like it, but it 100% isn't as the aesthetic portrays. It's more comppicated and the learning curve is steep. You may luck into a few good pulls, but it just takes time.

I don't regret it, but I still absolutely love a V60 brew. With espresso I find myself rushing the process to get a coffee. The ritual of a pour over never left me feeling more irritated than when I started.

Your list of worries are a lot lower as well, am I scaling up to inside, do I need to lubricate my cams, how dirty is it under thr shower screen, etc... :::

I've never even had an espresso ever but I've heard about this

a very poorly designed ceiling fan.

Tricky. I did reverse image search but I won't spoil it.

Looks like one of the types of hair ties my mom used to have, except the loops are metal. I'm guessing it's not a hair tie.

Guess: Fancy nappy pin.

I'm pretty sure this is wrong but I'm gonna say it's a top down view of an Apple webcam. Do they even make standalone webcams? idk. It just has that Apple glossy finish to it. Not really sure why it would have the weird tripod loop legs but w/e.

Apple hasnt had this innovative design in 20 years. Its all stupid "rounded rectangles" and "titanium steel" now.

I'm a little mad I know what this is...

Also how the fuck do you use spoilers on Lemmy? I looked it up and every single thread I found that explained it didn't work.

[–] plantsmakemehappy 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Voyager app says it's like this

Tap for spoilerhidden content

Which makes:

Tap for spoilerhidden content

I don't know if it's my sync app or what but I don't see any formatting or symbols on my end at all. Can you post a screen shot of what you're doing?

[–] plantsmakemehappy 2 points 1 week ago

You can just view it on the web instead of in the sync app then.

[–] LePoisson 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Oh that actually worked for me on my sync app. But yes there's issues with the app displaying spoiler tags correctly.

Spoilers are like this >! !<

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Spoilers are like this >! !<

That only works within the Sync app, not Lemmy as a whole. As plantsmakemehappy posted further up in the thread, the Lemmy markdown for spoilers is as follows:

Tap here to reveal the secret.Hidden content

Which is rendered as:

Tap here to reveal the secret.Hidden content

[–] LePoisson 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

How is that not what I wrote?

!this should be a spoiler!<

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It is not. This is how your comment appears on the official Lemmy web interface:

The first ">" is treated as the markdown for a block quote, and the rest of the text is rendered verbatim.

!test!<

I do not understand what the fuck I am doing wrong and I am losing my goddamn mind at this point.

Edit: I literally typed this exact thing out before and it didn't work. I do not understand why it is working now.

I literally typed this exact thing out before and it didn’t work. I do not understand why it is working now.

The old Reddit >!spoiler!< markdown isn't natively implemented in Lemmy, but a few apps have implemented it manually.
