In 2005, NASA had a program that allowed you to enter your name to be placed on a CD-ROM that was to be put on the New Horizons probe to Pluto. I was able to look mine up and still see the certificate.

Iโ€™ve done a few of these. It was pretty cool. One of the missions ended up on the bottom of the ocean however.

Yep. NASA did a similar thing for the Perseverance rover except, if Iโ€™m remembering correctly, they used some sort of nanotechnology wizardry to etch over 10 million names on computer chips.
