Carroll will give this program some much needed stability. Idk if they're going to win any SBs with him but he'll make them vastly more competitive than what they have been recently.

That's what I'm saying. We're not asking for much lol Just give us a winning season

Yeah I think he rights the ship and moves the team back to middle of the pack and the next coach can build a competitive team off of that.

I've been ok with not getting Ben Johnson. He would've been a risky hire on the Raiders anyway. Carroll and Spytek are solid for a rebuild and culture change. Personally hoping for Saleh as DC. And pls just let us get a good young OC! LFG Pete, Welcome to Vegas!!

Saleh already signed with the 9ers

Yeah I just saw the news lol bummer

If you want young OC, how about Charlie Weiss Jr?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Unfortunately I don't know him, I just know his dad. I like McCown and Kubiak for OC

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

He's the OC for Ole Miss in SEC. He was an assistant with Falcons or some NFL team. He has a reputation as a young genius. Kiffin made him OC at like 23.

So right now the following head coaches are over 60:

  1. Caroll
  2. Reid
  3. Harbaugh #1
  4. Harbaugh #2
  5. Payton
  6. Bowles

So that division is positively geriatric in comparison to the rest of the league.

Carroll is the only one born before they started keeping birth records.

I imagine this will be a good temp upgrade to get the program on track. Can't imagine him being the future of thr program though.

Yeah, he's 73. I'm not thrilled with the hire. Especially if/ when we get Russell Wilson's cornball ass

Seen some old news floating around about him wanting to come here last offseason. The guy could not be any less Raiders. I can't deal with a washed up old QB too. Quit talking about him people!! Lol

I think this is going to go disastrously for them. I honestly think he's just reached the point where he can't really innovate or adapt anymore. Which is pretty normal in football even great coaches hit that wall. But it's the Raiders so I'm all fucking for it crashing and burning so you know awesome.

Plus he is like 80 years old

Would you replace Tomlin? Tomlin isn't an X & O guy. Let the coordinators do the innovation. Pete is a good coach to steady a ship and let coordinators flourish. He's pretty sharp for an old guy. Not like certain senior political leaders.
