TL;DR: Title says it all, article mostly gives space to Meta to waffle.

Handing control of the internet over to a few tech bros is the dumbest thing humans have ever done.

Reposting my comment from another thread:

For anyone that needs this information, you can (currently) order abortion medicine (mifepristone and misoprostol) online in any state. I did it a few days ago and it was stupid easy to do. I'm not pregnant, but I wanted to order some as a just-in-case for myself or others.

The Plan C website has a great list of websites you can order from if you're not pregnant. It costs about $150 and some offer financial assistance if you need it. But please do it NOW while you still can.

I ordered one from Aid access and one from safe choice. Both asked a few questions that didn't ask for personal information or ID. They mostly just need an email, address to send it, and a credit/debit card to pay.

Good luck out there everyone.

I am concerned here. both an email address and mailing address are identifiable, so is the credit card transaction - which is arguably more permanent than the other two items. I have no idea what the data retention policies of each provider might be - one can hope its absolutely minimal with permanent deletion after shipment.

please be ultra careful when you obtain medication you need; the zealots now have state power behind them and recent history has shown they are willing to use it.

as the ~~OP~~ above poster suggests (and my uninformed opinion agrees), pre-ordering is likely the best option so there is no immediate connection between the order and a medical event.

the most sickening thing... I hit the PlanC site via Tor - something I would never have bothered doing before, but now something I would advocate for everyone.

I feel physically ill by this.

edit: correct thread attribution.

I'm a cis man and picked some up just incase any of my women friends need it. Everyone that is pro choice should have some stashed away. (don't deplete stocks or inventory! Ask wherever you buy from if the have enough saved to cover their expected requests for the foreseeable future.)

If enough people have some on hand we can protect those that do get it themselves, those that can't get any themselves, and ourselves.

Is there something wrong with the ones for sale on Amazon? I have stocked up for my daughter and anyone else who might be in need.

Plan B (what I assume you ordered, but I could be wrong) does not require a prescription and is limited in use up to 120 hours after sex. mifepristone and misoprostol require a prescription (given on these websites) and are usable up to 13 weeks of gestation. I have not found these on Amazon, but perhaps they are available on Amazon in other states?

Also, Costco sells it over the counter for very cheap. You don’t need a membership to use the pharmacy; Just tell the door person that you’re there for the pharmacy, and they’ll wave you through. They don’t take credit cards, but debit is accepted.

It depends on where you live, but it’s likely anywhere from $20 to $50.

Also, the cheap pregnancy tests work just as well as the super expensive ones. You can get a pack of 10 for like $15.

I think what you're referring to is Plan B medication which is only useful for the first 120 hours after sex and doesn't require a prescription. mifepristone and misoprostol require a prescription which you can get through these sites and they are usable up to 13 weeks of gestation. You likely can still get it at any pharmacy in a legal state. But ordering online not only allows for easy access to prescription, but also circumvents laws preventing sale in particular states. And yes that means you could potentially be prosecuted if caught, but people should still know their options. I for one would rather live through a miscarriage and do time than to die under legal means.
