For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

I think the list of what's going on with the Apartheid Manchild can be found in the list of symptoms for ketamine abuse.

It's pretty hilarious to me that whenever Musk gets personally involved, it's always shit.

Tesla did great in their regular cars. Musk wants to make a lorry and a pickup, and they're both total shit that barely works.

SpaceX does Falcon 9 and it's great, but then he gets involved in colonizing mars, and we get 7 blown up rockets and Jeff fucking Bezos beat him on a big lift rocket.

Twitter was... Well not great, but mostly fine. Musk touches it and it's Xhitter now.

And the companies he did do from the ground up? A scam vacuum train that he even admitted was a ploy. A tunneling company that doesn't work and is a massive safety hazard. Solar rooftops that were a scam. A robot that's 20 years behind where other companies started.

It's ironic that Elon runs a company called Tesla, when he is so clearly a modern-day Edison. Taking credit for the great ideas of other engineers. I have always doubted his genius, because anyone who tries that hard to prove to everyone he is smart is just selling himself to make money.

It is so clear that he lied about the video game thing because it is a tactic that has worked for him before. Fake it till you make it. We need to stop considering any actions from SpaceX or Tesla to be the fruit of Elons labor, give the credit to the engineers there and let Elon be the weirdo knock off Tony Stark he always has been.

He literally bought the title of "founder" from the actual founders of the company. That's... pretty ridiculous.

He shot the car that was going to one of the founders to space after getting rid of them, the ridiculous levels are off the chart

Probably more accurate to say he ripped it away from them than simply bought it.

I dunno about ironic - that's absolutely something Edison would've done.

I am glad this last Elon blunder got to some more of the people that are not terminally online and initially supported him.

Tesla is gonna be the VW of the future and by that I mean initially ruled by a NAZI

edit: as for video games Musk has Commodus Syndrome from the film Gladiator.

Tells should be in the business of batteries and drivetrains. Let companies that know how to build cars build cars.
