Lovecraft Mythos - Cosmic Horror

H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos is a shared universe far larger and more terrifying than that of humanity, where ancient, malevolent beings known as the Great Old Ones slumber in the depths of space or time. After Lovecraft's death, the Mythos has been expanded and developed by many authors, including August Derleth, Clark Ashton Smith, and Robert E. Howard. These and many other authors have helped to flesh out the Mythos into a rich and complex Dark Universe.

Alternatively titled β€œThe Last Call of Cthulhu”.

This summer... In a ~~worllld~~ local pub for the Timeless - those creatures who "go bump in the night", one of their all-time legends has had enough with the noise. Silent & inert for untold centuries, low-key doing the mortal world a favor, Ryleth's own prodigal son is about to bump back.

Seconds stretch beyond measure (or, are those years) as reality herself thins and warps around his unfurling form, her infinite roots ripped free like uncountable dark birds thundering from a field β€” while Cthulhu, rising from the dust of all lost ages, finally wakes to bend the cosmic plow to his will & his works...

Being incomprehensible probably hurts your popularity a smidge.
