Translated using Firefox:

Due to the constant receipt of the updated intelligence, there was a need to adjust some of the positions of the enemy's total losses - cruise missiles. The total figure is adjusted, and losses per day are given as usual.

800,000 Russians. Why the fuck do I care more about the plight of the average Russian citizen than the president of Russia does?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Putin has been running massive propaganda about Russia being strong. 800,000 is 1 in 200 Russians. So most Russians will personally know somebody who has died or been badly injured in Putins war. Just imagine what happens when Putin has to explain to them, that the war is lost. Even worse an end of the war, means the military industry being slowed down, which will cause an economic crisis. In other words it is doubtful if Putin can survive loosing the war.

Unfortunately most of the casualties are from undesirables and minorities in Russia.

So certain groups are more like 1:5-10 (convicts, or minorities). However in the main cities where Putin holds his power it's like 1:5000-10,000.

I feel like I only now comment if another 100,000 mark has been reached. I wonder after a million would I comment only every 500,000?

It is insane how many lives have been horrifically altered by this useless war, how many more must die because of an old scared man wanting to have a legacy of being a conquerer

I think that Putin realizes (and has for quite some time now) that if he were to end the war without a total Russian victory that it would be akin to signing his own death warrant. No amount of dead Russians will affect him, as he has no conscience to speak of. Unless Russia achieves total victory, he won't quit, and so more and more people will be fed into the meat grinder. He will beg, borrow, and steal whatever he can to push back his inevitable fate as long as possible.

I unfortunately think a little less pessimistic, I think he knows he cannot lose or withdraw, that will be his death warrant most likely. But if he keeps even the 2014 gains but this time officially recognised by both Russia and the west, even if Ukraine objects, he has won, even losing half that territory or even gaining 1 square meter extra does not matter, his Kremlin can spin it as a win. Might even embolden him to look at other countries, Georgia don't you fucking dare change the status quo.

Ask me, as someone who has personally experienced the communist propaganda machine, Putin will be fine, just the common folk who would pay the price for his vanity

800k casualties!

Well done, Russia, on your "3 day Special Operation "

Fucking wild.

Almost 2k in a single day, holy crap. It’s not that far from 1 000 000 and the pace is crazy

the pace is crazy

Absolutely, it has more than doubled this 3rd year. The third year isn't over yet, and it's already more than the 2 first years combined.

There have been a few days with more than 2000 infantry losses. Like 4 or 5 in total.
