If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Hey thanks! Synthpop might be the closest genre - I started checking youtube with keywords you provided, and adding french to it; eg. "french synthpop , french synthwave". Those started giving results that I percieve to be similar to the two examples.
Maybe its a sound in franchophone world or the language itself that creates the mood. Thank you!
FWIW the Radioactivity article is about the Kraftwerk original while OP linked a Fatboy Slim remix / cover. Kinda reminds me of early Ladytron actually
