I'm a meat eater, but I bet even a mediocre meatless chicken nugget is significantly better than whatever American school cafeterias have been passing off as chicken nuggets.
Veggie tendies are too good. They're definitely my guilty pleasure vegan food. I love to fry a few up, and make a burger with red onion, tomato, pickled jalapeños, chopped lettuce, veganaise an sriracha. Also, toast the bun in the leftover cooking oil.
Definitely not the healthiest meal ever, but oh so delicious.
Lunch place at work has vegan options so I've been trying that for a bit and man, some of the vegan stuff they do is way better than the regular stuff. Not always a hit but more hits than misses. Well seasoned tofu skin beats most meats they serve IMHO. I do live in Asia where they have more experience cooking the stuff to be fair.
