I think the gas ban needs more education. So many people still believe that it's more efficient using a gas heater than reverse cycle.

We're now better off burning the gas in a power plant, and running reverse cycles than using gas heating itself.

Gas has been the cheaper option for so long, and I think a lot of people mistake that for efficiency. The idea that something can be both less efficient but also cheaper seems counter-intuitive.

Until very recently gas appliances were the sensible option because the cheaper running costs more than made up for the increased up front costs (unless you are a landlord and will be pushing the operating costs to someone else). That has also changed, which I think a lot of people also haven't caught up with.

Gonna make a shitload of spring rolls today and rebuild The Stash™.

Putting in heaps of the coriander forest because that's gonna bolt in this 420ppm the nino AMOC ice extent SSTA six sigma tic tac madness.

Also lots of chilli going in from last season that's in the freezer. I've found if you put red food dye on the uncooked pastry (as a warning), it actually stays a very bright red after deep frying.

So far we've played tribute songs for Sinèad O'Connor and Randy Meisner from the Eagles. 🍺

I booked myself in for a massage at 2pm to turbocharge myself into getting shit done so this ends up being a relatively short day. So far, it's working!

Nice one. Also thanks for reminding me I need to use my gift voucher to book in a spa session before it expires like my Providoor one did (or I should say before they go bust lol) 🫠

I think we need a DnB rave choon to kick off proceedings.

This guy Mampi Swift is playing in a few weeks at Laundry Bar.. 22yrs after this choon was released:

Exciting thing for the day: I installed a new mouse cursor scheme on my PC and applied a new desktop wallpaper.

Link for anyone curious about the cursors: clicky click

Two nights of crap sleep has left me all sorts of roller-coastery today. le sigh Also just faffed around for two hours+ in an attempt to find a dress. Nada. Everything is just so unappealing?

Also, is it just me, but is our fast food getting even more junkier? I mean, I can’t talk. I love me a good robust munch (not to mention burgs), but… it just feels like every new offering is a bun/crumbed/deep fried. I worry for us…

Gotta get out of this funky meh.

I just got a phone call. It was automated "something something visa department regarding 2 transactions" then I hung up. Was that the smartest thing to do?

Yeah or don't answer them at all if you know they're phishing scams.

Windy. Sensor light outside keeps going off. Must be a branch waving in front of it but do not want to get out of bed.

Planning a half day trip to Stevensons Falls tomorrow via Black Spur Drive.

Anywhere else we should stop? Special emphasis on nature/forests as they're practically my wife's natural habitat and favourite places.

(we have ruled out Redwood Forest due to road closure)

So far away, we wait for the day
For the lives all so wasted and gone
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames, we carry on

🤘

Can I just note my complete disdain for paggro use of words like sheesh and wow and other negative conversation stoppers. Blimey is fine. It is a true exclamation.

Also, tutor lied about where she lived, she is way farther than she said, instead of a 15 minute walk it's one hour. I can't get there.

Not going to lie, weather's got me a little alarmed today. The winter dressing gown and trackies are off, and I had to dig in the back of my cupboard for some of my thick cotton shorts that usually don't make an appearance until spring.

Waiting impatiently for dinner. Tonight I have crumbed basil pesto filled balls of chicken, served with lightly-seasoned oven baked cauliflower chips.

I'm hate watching Hunted and I hate the hunters so much. But also don't understand why the "fugitives" would ever taunt them.
