Server is rescaled. Still not 100% happy with performance, but we can check further from here. More room for tuning anyway.

Was there an improvement at least?
At least there now are resources to be used, if I can get the software to use it ...
Cool
Thank you for your work!
Given the influx of users, and the general scramble with server restarts, it feels like the early day of forums again. I'll not be complaining about it!
Yeah it really takes you back lmfao, I think it's great that people are starting to see the benefits of decentralization again, I had started flirting with self hosting last year and have like 20+ docker containers running on a pi 4 now.
Let me know if you need some advice. I've been helping the Lemmy devs with their db queries on GitHub. They should release a new version soon which will help a bit. And I gave some more advice today.
You seem to know what you're doing on the infra side but if you need someone to review pg settings and tuning I'm happy to help. I'm not sure how you installed this instance but I'd recommend pumping up the db connections from default and using a connection pooler like pgbouncer if you're not already.
Thanks for the offer! The database side is the side I'm most familiar with (I'm a (Postgres) DBA), but any help is appreciated at this moment because there's a lot to do with this crazy inflow of users!
I appreciate your hard work!
I'm impressed by this community already
