/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Nothing like a family emergency to distract from existential dread, but the help of ~~a~~ my good friend made all the difference. Vague story short, everyone's fine and suffering minimized.

Friends are just the family you assimilate.

Now, back to the fight against fascism.

I'm glad you were able to help your friend. We all need to stick together right now.

That said, I'm not sure the womanizing creep of a doctor is the best person to have my back. It didn't seem to actually help O'Brien much overall. They had a lot of fun in the Holosuites while Keiko was being shitty though.

Certainly not advocating Bashir's questionable choices and ethics, just the good parts where he was at O'Brien's side.

Also, I was the O'Brien in the scenario that needed help.

Bashir’s questionable choices

Name one time he made a bad choice. /s

Pic unrelated:

I know you weren't. I just felt like bashing Bashir (no pun intended).

Letting my anger out on fictional characters helps.

I find it therapeutic to take it out on a nearby console.

Kirk and Spock, no question.

But also, what about Neelix and Tuvok?

[–] negativenull 3 points 1 month ago

I knew I likely missed a lot of them.

Friends are just the family you assimilate

I love this line, I'm assimilating that into my vocabulary.

Paints the Borg in a much friendlier light too!

[–] ummthatguy 3 points 1 month ago

To be its own post soon.

[–] negativenull 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm glad everything is (mostly) okay with your friend.

[–] ummthatguy 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Other way around. The post was me being thankful for the assist.

But yeah, family.

[–] negativenull 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh, I'm sorry! I hope everything is okay for you then! Thank Q for your friend!

[–] ummthatguy 6 points 1 month ago

Doing better. Just glad everyone's ok.

I prefer Omet'iklan's speech:

I am First Omet'iklan, and I am dead. As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar. Remember, victory is life.

It reflects how I feel dead inside while acknowledging that we can reclaim our lives by overcoming whatever bullshit the universe throws at us.

And then you shoot the Weyoun.
