I hope you're right. This seems like a pretty egregious violation.

HIPPA has an exception when there is a court order.

I didn't see anything about a court order, just state investigations.

Pardon, it was a civil investigative demand. As long as the AG provided a written statement that the information requested is relevant and material, specific and limited in scope, and de-identified information cannot be used, then judicial involvement is not required.

The attorney general also requested a slew of additional information, including the names of everyone referred to the transgender clinic who made at least one office visit, as well as people who volunteer for the hospital’s Trans Buddy initiative, which aims to increase access to care and improve outcomes by providing emotional support for the clinic’s patients.

Emphasis mine.

The goal seems to be to have a chilling effect not just on trans care but on advocates for trans care as well. Same logic as with the drag "ban."

And that single act has made it more likely that trans folks will avoid accessing healthcare. Not that these horrid people care about that.

They do very much care about that; that's exactly what they want.

This is straight up Nazi shit. Time for some 2A response to underscore the 4A violations coming out of FL.

Props to the 2A nutjobs. For years they've been telling us we need to stockpile weapons to "protect against tyranny."

We didn't listen. So they took a more direct approach. Creating tyranny so that we'll take the need for arms to protect ourselves more seriously.

Those are some good dudes playing 4D chess, just to get us to appreciate the second amendment.

Fully support anyone exercising their rights but let's be careful not to let someone infer a comment is promoting violence. Thanks.
