Let's start a sewing club together, so we can SEW YOUR DAMN MOUTH SHUT

Lmao. Great to see the IP looking so good, and the gameplay looks really fun. Armored Core remains my favorite mech IP - it hits that sweet spot between Mechwarrior and Robotech style mechs, merging the heavy impact feel of the former with the speed and grace of the latter, and the mech crafting has been best in class since the PS2 days. Can't wait to see multiplayer in action.

I'm so stoked for this one. I'm keeping my expectations in check, because PC port releases for AAA games have been pretty rough lately, but I hope this plays well out of the gate.

I'm pretty sure this uses the same fromsoft engine they've been using, so I'd expect performance similar to Elden Ring. I also think some of the reviewers played the demo build on a PC.

I wasn't too excited about this game until seeing this video. Now I'm pretty into it, the gameplay looks really entertaining. I'm also a sucker for customizable mechs.

I'm trying reign in the hype but every time I hear or see more of this I get even more excited.

looks amazing!

I only played the original AC and just a little bit of AC2 so I'm really interested to see if this version is 'easier' to control. I would imaging so with full and proper dual stick usage

FromSoftware has been killing it for a while, so I kind of have high expectations for this one

Vaati also did a recent demo and summary of his gameplay: https://youtu.be/1c1crLkr56E?si=FYt5M0Kus8G_kGwa

And yeah, it looks pretty sick

On one hand the game is faster paced than AC 1/2, on the other there's the dark souls target lock. I think it'll be easier but I do hope to see a resurgence of AC grip memes

I wanna make an AC that's just a tank. No mech, just flying tank

Looks a lot like that old ncsoft game exteel.

I've never played an AC game, but a huge fan of the Souls games. I'm not sure what to make of this - but I have a lot of trust in From, so I'll almost certainly pick it up.

I like how complex it looks, and the bosses look crazy. From Vaati's video it looked like there were 11 missions though... does anyone know if it's just those plus the arena? I don't typically replay games once I've finished them (game time is limited)!

5 chapters 11 mission in chapter 1 (only chapter people have seen)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 11 months ago

Sounds like most previewers spent 6 hours on this chapter alone. So we can probably expect the game to take about 30 hours to finish in total. There will also be a NG+, which adds to the replay value. Sounds like a pretty good length to me.

Ah that’s great! My main worry with it was that there’d just be those 11 missions and there’d be a lot of replaying, 5 chapters sounds like a really solid amount of content though.
