I hope he survives.
And has ongoing discomfort related to his cardiac condition, and the surgical intervention for same.
Not a second surgery. That ties up the OR for someone who deserves help. Just ongoing pain, enough to always be there but not enough to warrant any more treatments.
Maybe the surgeon would forget leaving something like a wristwatch in his chest cavity.
Mistakes happen
