This is like when you finally give the good controller to your younger sibling and you watch them break it
Was he the former driver of that car?
Heโs the regular driver of that car. The guy who crashed it is a junior driver of Mercedes. He was allowed to drive the car for one training session, so he can get his kilometers in. He needs to drive a certain amount of kilometers in an F1 car to get his Super License which he needs to compete in Formula 1. He will probably be the team mate of George Russel (the guy in the photo) next season.

I don't know how to say it in German but I know exactly what it means
Apparently 'mediocre' translates to 'mittelmรครig', and I must say I enjoy the 'German-ness' that word exudes.
I would put Russel's reaction in "sehr Mรครig" and Toto's reaction under "was hab' mich รผberkommen ๐ญ"
