I skew very hard to the left. I also used to think that voting third-party for presidential candidates would make a difference... 30 years ago. I get it; it's so alluring to think that, by voting for our best interests, we could suddenly magic our asses into a better country. Fully bullshit.

Want to promote third-party candidates? Start locally, where non-duopoly candidates can make a real impact. If we all participated locally and supported local candidates that best represent our interests, we'd start to see change work its way up the political ladder.
