TBH I doubt banks are any better in Russia.

They are the exact same, a lot of them are literally identical except for different names.

tbh I think they're more technically advanced (because they're newer, and because they very openly form finance capital, just look at Sber), at least judging but what I hear from people using other countries' banks, but that's about the only difference there is.

Or in any other capitalist country. Banks robbing people are absolute staple of that system.

There is real freedom of speech in America. I can walk up to the White House and shout, "Ronald Reagan is an idiot!" and nothing will happen to me, but what about the USSR?

And in the USSR, I can also go up to the Kremlin and shout "Ronald Reagan is an idiot!" and nothing will happen to me either.

The only think that I can remember that somewhat close

It’s a play on a kind of joke where subject and object are reversed in Soviet Russia, e.g.:

“In Soviet Russia, you do not rob bank - bank rob you”
