Judging from her comments, I'm sure she told him to take the deal and stop fucking over the families of the hostages and the Palestinian people.

Right now, she has no power over the military. After November 5th it will be a different story. I hope the people of Dearborn watched her today.

I fucking well hope so

I also take some kind of hope in the fact that they met separately; like we’re not saying there has to be any continuity in what Biden’s policy has been to what Harris’s will be if she gets elected.

Yeah, but are you gonna stop giving them shit? Or just keep saying 'plz stop :('

Pretty sure she needs to be elected first to be sure, since she'd need the presidential veto power to actually stop weapons from being sent

I think still needing to win the election with our fairly war-criminal-friendly electorate is a much bigger deal than the transition away from Biden foreign policy needing to wait until literal election day.

Remember -- we could still get the "shoot the protestors" guy. I'm happy if people feel more confident in Harris's chances but the fuckin world could still end on January 7th. It's still very much up in the air.

Say we suddenly snubbed Israel hard, what’s the big fear with Middle East security & having a country there who’s buddy-buddy with the US? (was wondering today and seems you might know)

She could discuss that right now is the point I'm getting at. I want to hear what her stance is on this. I'm really happy with her so far and voting for her no matter what but this is one of the biggest issues

Baby steps

First we say, hey you really have to stop

Then you say, we’ll pause your weapons for a short time if you don’t stop

Then you say hey don’t you want to do this cease fire? It’s a really good cease fire.

Then you say you really have to stop, oh by the way here’s more weapons

Then you have to say you know what you’ve been really good this month about not killing too excessive a number of civilians here’s more weapons

And then the administration changes and the new administration gives a bunch of weapons

Edit: Oh also I’m disappointed that this story doesn’t seem to have seen any discrepancy between US people coming out the meeting all hopeful for a cease fire, and Netanyahu coming out of the meeting and telling the media “yeah dude we’re gonna keep killing until we feel like we’re done, and at that point we’d be happy to cease firing, sure.”

Guys, while he’s in the White House with all these security people around him would have been a GREAT time for the ICC to issue a warrant and for the US to say “well you know we can’t argue with that, law and order and all” and fuckin grab him. Just saying. I know it’s not that simple, you don’t want Harris to lose the election because the electorate can’t let go of their war crimes, but… fuckin live a little sometimes. You got all these security people there (definitely more than Netanyahu brought with him)… give them something really excitement inducing to do for once.

Well for once thing, the US is not a party to the treaty that created ICC, and they have not accepted ICC jurisdiction.

Oh is that all

Yes yes I know, my theory is pure fantasy, it will not happen. 🙁 For that among like 8 other reasons. But if the anti abortion can dream of the change they want to see in the world for 40 years before making it happen, I can dream about a bunch of marines putting Netanyahu in cuffs while he's protesting that he is above the law and trying to struggle. Hey, at least they didn't bomb his family's home and pour cement in his water supply and give him dysentery. He got off easy.

Who knows what’ll be left after Biden’s done. It’s nice for her to say it at least

[–] Ensign_Crab 3 points 4 months ago

She is not currently in the position to, as she is not the president.
