Rules for Posting Guides on Our Community

1. Defining a Guide Guides are comprehensive reference materials, how-tos, or comparison tables. A guide must be well-organized both in content and layout. Information should be easily accessible without unnecessary navigation. Guides can include flowcharts, step-by-step instructions, or visual references that compare different elements side by side.

2. Infographic Guidelines Infographics are permitted if they are educational and informative. They should aim to convey complex information visually and clearly. However, infographics that primarily serve as visual essays without structured guidance will be subject to removal.

3. Grey Area Moderators may use discretion when deciding to remove posts. If in doubt, message us or use downvotes for content you find inappropriate.

4. Source Attribution If you know the original source of a guide, share it in the comments to credit the creators.

5. Diverse Content To keep our community engaging, avoid saturating the feed with similar topics. Excessive posts on a single topic may be moderated to maintain diversity.

6. Verify in Comments Always check the comments for additional insights or corrections. Moderators rely on community expertise for accuracy.

Community Guidelines

By following these rules, we can maintain a diverse and informative community. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to the moderators. Thank you for contributing responsibly!

As I understand the caption, this is actually the most commonly googled dream type. I'd expect this is not actually the most common dream type per country, because the most common experiences aren't worth investigating.

maybe it's more like "type of dream that most commonly confuses and disturbs people in a given culture".

Exactly.

If I dream of sex, I know what that’s about: I want sex.

If I dream that a snake has caused my teeth to fall out, I’m going to google to find out what the fuck is wrong with me.

Two that stand out: highly religious Nigeria, where people who dream of sex are googling what is wrong with them, and highly irreligious France, where people who dream about an ex are googling what is wrong with them.

I'd like to know more about "hat". Is it a dream about losing your hat? About a hat that comes alive?

Greek people seem to have ascended above grandiose financial concepts, ever since their contry's gone bankrupt. Now all they care about is a nice hat to fit their personality and relaxation.

There's a dream-based "hat man" who used to get referenced on Reddit. Maybe it's related to that (though probably not).

edit: corrected an autocorrect.

Australians don't need even more snakes in their dreams

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

A true Aussie knows the delicate ecosystem which conspires to kill them at any moment is in fact, harmonious.

We let the fastest spiders live inside, because they're great for killing other pests.

Snakes are mostly a non issue in terms of danger, don't fuck with them and they'll leave you alone. Plus, if you get bitten, free healthcare will fix up an antivenom.

The animals you really need to be careful of are the birds. Cunts get aggressive if you get close to their nests. You don't wanna get swooped by the smoothbrained plover, they've got these spikes on their wings and they'll try to clip you with it, even if it means breaking it's own wing in the process.

Seriously moronic birds. I fucking hate plovers.
