LDS / Mormon here, it's the logo for Deseret, https://www.deseret.com/pages/deseret-news-logo/

Same thing with Deseret industries or anything under that sub moniker

What you're implying here is the State of Utah put a newspaper logo on their flag. Is that accurate?

That article hurt a little to read - it's not a T-Rex, it's so obviously a Utahraptor I'm a bit flabbergasted that made it to print. But I guess not everyone had my obsession with dinosaurs as a child...

So many good and bad names on the table. “Utah Venom” sounds awesome. “Utah Ice” on the other hand…
