Didn’t spot this one right away so it got away from me. They’re gherkins, I plan to make sweet pickles. Not with this monster though, we ate it fresh and it was delicious.

Vine borers? I bravely (stupidly) went for it again thos year and things seem to be growing pretty well so far. Fingers crossed! I am applying a liberal dose of insecticidal soap weekly this year.

No, we had sap suckers, at least 2 kinds. Just brutal and they hide until sunset.
