Is that for easier towing?

The track recommends them, they try not to hurt your car when you're being towed but they also try to get you off the track as fast as they can so the other cars can continue. Plus this car has crap tow points that are a pain to get to otherwise so I figured it's a good investment just in case.
I also think it looks cool.
Why are these never in the centre. Wouldn't being on the side tow awful?
Best one I've seen though.
If I had to guess it’s because a car doesn’t have a “core” structure running through the middle of it. The frame goes “around” the car, with the longest section being longitudinal which runs on the sides, so they attack the tow hook there.
I wonder that myself. No idea.
The tow bar is attached diagonally on the opposite side and it works quite well.
It does look cool.
Thank you!
Yup. To get you off of the track faster in case you or someone else fucks up.
Oh, so it's not just for Corvettes?
My Cadillac comes with a "cheap" one stock, I'm pretty sure most cars do.
Most import vehicles come with them for shipping iirc, but not domestics, it’s a feature on some off-road models though.
At least from what I’ve noticed in Canada. My stock Ram 1500 has two on the front for example, but they’re more for 4x4 towing/crawling.
Those are really for shipping and not great for towing though the will work as long as you pull straight.
