Bluey is giving my kid a high expectation of parenting.

Remember, each Bluey episode is 7 minutes long.

Be like Chili and Bandit for 7 minutes a day and you're meeting the Bluey parenting expectations.

I think you underestimate how many episodes children are capable of watching in a day.

True, but I've never been lead astray by asking myself "What would Chili and Bandit do?"

That's why I love the "Octopus" episode from season 2. It's a reminder that not all parents can't be like Bandit or Chilli, but we can play into our strengths and be creative on how to use those strengths to be a better parent.

I much prefer this rendition of the change my mind meme. I say we retire the old one

Its a really well made and wholesome cartoon aimed at parents and their young kids. A lot of good lessons for everyone watching and it handles some heavier topics really well.

It really is inspiring for parents and models how to foster imagination and play in children as well as conflict resolution.

It also really hits on the emotional connection and protection with kids: it shows parents how to help kids deal with their feelings.

A truly brilliant show.

I just switched from a TikTok video about low stimulation shows where someone mentioned Bluey in a comment! What an amazing coincidence.

Low stimulation shows for kids or adults?

If you listen to podcasts I recommend S2E1 of 'How Other Dad's Dad with Hamish Blake' Joe Brumm, the creator of bluey, is a guest.

I also recommend the podcast generally also.
