So I tested my mic inside Discord and it does show that the mic is being picked up. Has anyone had the issue where that does not translate over to online games?

TIL deck has a microphone. Barely ever playing online though.

I actually just found this. I think it might still be the issue.

If that handoff from internal audio hardware to the AUX jack is done in firmware (which is pretty common these days) you're probably SoL. Seems like a first generation oversight. There is no reason why the internal mic couldn't be used. The isolation from the game audio is even better than when the internal speakers are playing the sound.

A bit unfortunate

I have this issue as well :( I have PTT in Helldivers 2 bound to one of the back buttons, when I hit it the >)) mic icon lights up on the HUD, but no one can ever hear me. Hopefully the community can provide a fix, or some more clarification from Valve would be nice also

I've used it before when playing non-docked (otherwise I have a Blue yeti condenser mic hooked up into my docking hub).

The people I was playing with said I sounded good and clear. I've used it both with Discord and with Steam voice chat and I've never had an issue.

EDIT: I saw your post about issues with it when using wired headphones. That very well may be, but I can tell you it works fine with Bluetooth headphones (I alternate on a couple of pairs of BT bone conduction headphones).
