I mod a couple of small communities. Although the communities show up when you search for them, the posts don’t show whether I use lemmy.world in a browser, the Memmy app, wefwef/voyager or Lemmios. You can join the sub and make posts and I know my posts are showing up in people’s feeds somewhere because there’s a decent amount of interaction. So why can’t I see the actual posts?

The community screenshotted here is [email protected] but I have another community on the sh.itjust.works instance that displays the posts properly so it seems to be a lemmy.world issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

yeah, I’m having the same issue on lemmy.fmhy.ml. thought at first it was because it was nsfw content, but then I was still seeing nsfw content in my feed. not sure what it is man.

Check the language settings, make sure the top one is selected, undefined I think.

I kept stumbling on communities with no posts or a couple yet the sidebar showed lots, it was my language settings.

Yeah, all my subs are SWF so it’s not that. I mainly use the Memmy app so I thought it was an app problem but it’s definitely a lemmy thing. It makes it pretty hard to mod if I can’t even view the posts!

If you have "Hide read posts" selected in your settings, Lemmy will assume you've read your posts and hide them from you. Check your settings for that.

Thank you for this! I had to go my lemmy settings on my browser. I’d selected “show read posts” on all the different apps I’m trying, but it needed to be done on the actual website. It looks like it hides read posts as default.

Glad it helped!
