In short, open source APIs for everything.
End all advertising/tracking etc, and charge people $1 per month to use it, or $12 annual fee.
And then say, "i have enough money. I'll donate this."
Shut them down.
Why not just remove the bad bits? Can you not see a single positive function of these products?
I don't think the bad bits are inseparable from the rest of it at this point.

Actually thatβs a terrible idea. Look how abandonnΓ©s we feel with Reddit basically kicking everyone out. It hasnβt even shut down! I would instead work on removing the data gathering aspect of Meta, no more tracking, no more data selling, no more advertising. Then I would open source everything (maybe keep security parts private at first)
I would Elon the shit out of that thing until there's only ashes.

I think elonning refers to taking something that is functional and making bad decisions to run it into the ground.
Like, 'she ignored all the maintenance advice and elonned her new car to death in 6 months'

Put the source code up for Facebook, Instagram, Horizon Worlds, and Threads, and shut it down.
Transition WhatsApp into a federated app (I know much of the world is dependent on it.)
Sell Reality Labs.
Hand them over to Elon Musk, so he can sink them
Buy Reddit, fire spez
Hand it over to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Randomly select one of them and sell it, then try to turn all the others into federated apps before making them open source

I wouldn't like to sell WhatsApp, I feel comfortable selling any other Facebook product
Just to see it crumble to pieces, I would have any means to report anything and block people/posts on fakebook removed whilst allowing any and all speech (including hate speech) to be spread just so that way there is a mass collapse in user base. Also, make the ads 100 times more intrusive.
As it crumbles, I'd just watch from atop my high horse and constantly blame everyone else who isn't me or working for me for my problems and the failures of the company in a very top 1% fashion, on the platform of course.
When it finally crumbles and if the media asks what went wrong, I'll just say I was following the google approach and blame them while using prepared 100% AI faked evidence to try and prove I was in contact with higher ups with google and getting advice from them, even down to faking actual calls.
Finally, assuming I have any money stored away from all of this, I'd use it to jumpstart my aggressive anti-communist agenda.

Sell Meta to Elon Musk. Either Twitter or Threads will be shut down, and I have a feeling it will be Threads. This has the bonus of not owning meta, to prevent assassins from targeting me. muskrat has bodyguards, I do not.
I would do what any sane person would do. Take their money and... "The system is working as intended and must be destroyed"
