It could just he me but I feel that people can only blame their gear so long before they should admit that they’re getting outplayed. At the same time, it’s strange how those some people will scream their chest out or slam on those keys to rage out on everyone else like they’re big and tough.

I don't think it's funny. It's annoying and petulant, and they're the reason I don't play competitive games. I've got better things to do with my time than listen to some tryhard scream and moan, and there's literally thousands of other games I can play without having that experience.

Yeah that’s the reason I only play PvE these days but even then there’s a weird amount of people who jump in yelling at their teammates and criticizing people’s builds and play styles. I disable mic chat but I do leave the text chat on and see those messages.

I was playing some casual (non-ranked) rocket league games and got told that I was a try-hard and that I was overrated in back to back games.

The nature of these competitive games really brings about a toxic community where somehow its become ok to harass and disrespect people. I cannot imagine going up to someone irl and saying some things I’ve heard in chat. The fact that ‘Gaming Trash Talk’ is now so normalized really disappoints me.

A good mechanic never blames their tools, just their actions. (Like buying crappy tools haha)

Guitars are the same. I have several nice guitars, still play like garbage.

The right tools can only take you so far, most is skill.

I'm pretty sure you could put an RLCS (Rocket League pro) player on a Switch and they'd still beat any try hard on Grand Champ or lower.
