Hmmm wonder how Judas voted?

[–] kromem 1 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

"Ahhhhhh"

Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.

  • John 13:26

(Notably, John is missing a Eucharist ritual, but has this passage trying to explain why Jesus was feeding Judas bread at dinner. The same activity of Judas partaking in dipped bread appears in Mark 14:20 too, right before its Eucharist ritual: "He said to them, 'It is one of the twelve, one who is dipping bread into the bowl with me.'")

Was Mark an apostle? My memory may be glitching, because I have the impression that only Matthew and John were actual original apostles. About Luke I am certain that he was from Greece and several decades later.

No, you are correct. He's supposed to be Peter's secretary.

The sold out stadiums would disagree with your assessment that that is an unpopular opinion.

Ah, the classic communion wafers joke! Remember, they're not just a snack; they come with a lot of meaning for many people. But hey, sometimes humor helps us see things froma new perspective!

I've never seen a communion wafer with a cross or other symbol on it. Is this a common thing somewhere?

Every time I've ever seen them they all look like that.

So weird. At every eucharistie I've been to in Belgium they're just white circles.
