Food Crimes - Offenses against nutrition
Welcome to Food Crimes! This community is here to collect all and any post about cursed food and generally unusual consumables.
Right now, here’s the rules:
- Posts must include an image or video containing food or drink.
- It must be unusual or cursed in some way. a. For example, something like Doritos Milk would be unusual, but normal milk would not.
- No AI posts whatsoever, and any images that were altered (Ex: Photoshop, Gimp) need to be tagged.
How to tag:
To tag your posts, please prepend or append the tag name inside square brackets. For example,[OC] Foo bar baz
or foo bar baz [Meta]
would be acceptable. Multiple tags will require separate pairs of brackets, like so: [Edited][OC] foo bar baz
Here are the current tags:
- Edited - The image was manipulated with editing software.
- OC - You made this cursed food yourself!
- Meta - Relating to the community itself.
Finished checking out all the posts here? Also checkout [email protected]!
(BTW, I’m looking for someone to help mod here! I myself would not be enough if this community goes beyond a few posts a day.)
I think it might be soup? Except they only have a single type of serving tray and simply use that for every single meal.
if you close your eyes it almost feels like you're eating runny snot
I'll trade you my top center and bottom left unidentifiable grey slop for your top right unidentifiable grey slop.
Man, that's gruelsome.
I'd rather have gruel. Ground up hempseed is not that much different from oatmeal or grits, and you can season it to taste good. It's also a complete protein, and hemp and marijuana are the most efficient carbon capturing plants, and they store 85% in their roots, so we could be doing something about climate change, at least slowing it down by letting these weeds grow everywhere, harvesting the roots, compressing them to a density that won't float, and dumping them into the Marianas Trench. That carbon would effectively be trapped for a few hundred million years.
Soylent grey
The Matrix had something similar. "It's got everything the body needs." 😬
Did it? Don't quite remember that quote. Must have been that scene right after they fish him out of the gutter and have breakfast on the Nebuchadnezzar.
Who took this picture?
Honestly more effort than serving actual food at that point.
Isn't that just a cream chicken soup, but disgustingly plastered on a already gross plastic food tray? The soup looks mighty fine, just the serving is questionable...
I assume so, but "mighty fine" is not the words I'd use to describe what's on the plate.
17.99 with the right bowl
Hmm, looks like pea soup with shreds of chicken in it.
I think my country does the opposite of this, the prison food is very fatty and heavy to keep the prisoners lethargic
What sort of colourless beans do you guys have, eww
Excellent movie. Hugely enjoyed all three of them as a kid even though I didn't even understand half of the jokes and most of the references made. Should probably watch them again some time to find out what I missed.
it looks like tasty recycled plastic
Can't even use a bowl?
There were a bunch more pictures where I got this from, apparently all from the same facility. They all use the exact same tray, no matter what’s being served.
Since this got a lot of upvotes I’ll probably share the others over the next few days. They’re not all quite as awful as this one (it’s by far the worst) but they’re not exactly great either.
Soup?
More like slop, but yes, probably. Looks like a sad version of chicken soup if you ask me.
Chicken and dumplings is what I think, but the dumplings must be small
My guess would be shredded chicken, which would explain those white fibers everywhere. I certainly can’t see anything remotely resembling dumplings, however.
It's lacking for a noodle, but it doesn't look like bad soup. The presentation is obviously not amazing, but it looks better than my elementary school chicken and noodles did.
say, is that hair pudding?
mmm just like mom used to make hurk
