Ugh not again, MGK songs are good until he starts singing. Rather not have another two kicked out of the rap scene invading my suggested songs.
Kendrick is one the greatest rappers of all time so if he really wanted to be could easily go toe to toe with Eminem. However, I donβt know why either of them would want to.

This guy said something entirely uncontroversial about the only rapper to win a Pulizer prize for his skill in writing and he's being downvoted to the underworld.
Something tells me a lot of Lemmy users either stopped listening to rap a decade ago or skew in a very particular demographic direction
I'm the former. I've never really been big on rap outside of a few artists as 99% of it I can't relate to at all.
The few songs I can relate to and enjoy listening to I get made fun of for listening to by "og" rap lovers.
It sucks when people gatekeep like that. You can like what you like, even if it's not the most critically acclaimed music

Well Drake is the biggest rapper right now and considered to be in the βBig 3β along with Kendrick so itβs not all that surprising Kendrick would diss him. Drake being a fake rapper only adds to that really.
I'm out of touch lol. I probably shouldn't even chime in. I dipped out of radio music when the baking bling era started peaking.
(Not saying that to sound stuck up or hate on emcees... I'm Just very out of touch with that culture.)

To add to this. Both parties told all other creators that all music that was made in this dispute would not be subject to copyright claims. So far all claims made from Kendrickβs label have been dropped which has allowed critics to listen freely and even remix and make work from the original work. Drake said the same was going to be the case for what he put out however in typical fashion Ovo/umg has claimed all content that contains any of drakes source material. Iβm generally not into this kind of public beef but in basically every regard Kendrick is right and Drake is pretty much the most pure example of everything that is wrong with the music scene today.
