Came here to post this. Excellent film's. Shame they only made 2.

[–] coleseph 2 points 1 year ago

Huge shame. Brendon, we'd love for you to finally do a third mummy movie.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty doesn't get enough attention

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

I absolutely love that movie.

Sahara is a truly fun time. Romancing the Stone and The Lost City are also good.

Came to say Romancing the Stone.

Such a gem of a movie.

Excellent adventure, smoky sax, Danny Devito.

What more can you ask for?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I just watched this again recently. Glad to see it's not been forgotten over time.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Hey, same.

I grew up watching that movie and didn't realize a bunch of people hadn't seen it.

I've been spreading the good gospel since!

I hope these fit into the "Adventure" category: (to me, that's a very broad term)

The Princess Bride

The Fifth Element

Indiana Jones (1 and 2)

[–] proudblond 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Indy 1 and 2 but not 3? Surprised by that ranking!

I was a teenager when 1 was made. It's got that special place for me. As the years went by, it felt like they got further from that raw excitement the first movie had, and I got older. 3 (crystal skull) was different but I was too.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

3 was Last Crusade, 4 was Crystal Skull.

Labyrinth
Hunt for the Wilderpeople

Back to the Future.. Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

A flying Delorean? I haven't seen one of those in 30 years

The Three Musketeers (1993)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

For me that would be The Three Musketeers (1973) and The Four Musketeers (1974). I love those movies and the cast is incredible.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I'd actually add the new DnD movie to the list.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Demolition Man (1993)

I've saved so much money on TP by switching to the 3 seashells method.

The Mummy with Brendan Fraser.
