We keep cutting funding, to eliminate waste; and don’t understand why it isn’t getting better!??!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

It is like the 'waste' is not actually waste, just a cost of providing consistent services as they are needed.

Fifth largest economy in the world can't provide healthcare worth a damn. No right to die. Education and drug prohibition from the Victorian era. On the other hand, if you become a drug addict due to untreated mental health issues, there are plenty of police to arrest, judicial apparatus to prosecute and prisons to punish you.

Victim of the ongoing epidemic of fraud? Don't hold your breath waiting for an investigation. If you want to attract the attention of police, get in your car and drive past one of the many speed cameras or ulez. I guarantee you will receive satisfaction.

The cretinous electorate in this country vote for this shit. They want a useless royal family and aircraft carriers rather than healthcare and education. Proud to be British? Fuck these morons.

I hate people like you who overdramatize things.

Those services are prioritized for actual citizens, as they should be (citizens defined as anyone with a gross net worth > £50m).

Non-citizens should not be complaining that citizens are not wasting resources on them.

Sometimes I forget my place in the dirt and raise a feeble fist at the iniquity of it all, but it's the fine, upstanding citizens such as your good self that deliver a timely kick and reminder that I will always be a worthless scubber. Lower me back into the crab bucket with a copy of the Daily Mail.

Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.

I'm open-source, check me out at GitHub.

So everything is working fine according to the Tory plan to privatise the NHS.

I guess they're also still working on the buildup from COVID, when people forewent non-urgent care

What's the hold up? Lack of staff?

[–] legion02 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There's a doctor strike I believe

Ah, that will do it.
