Id be interested in knowing where the bookkeeper is now, 4 months after getting caught.

Presumably, she has fled the country to a place with no extradition treaty. Or maybe she found another bookkeeping job to embezzle from locally.

I don't understand why it would take this long to get a warrant for an arrest if it's clear that the bookkeeper was paying cheques to herself and not paying bills.

Yeah, I really want to know how this all turns out.

Addiction is a terrible disease and makes people do things they would never do ordinarily. I have a family member who ended up in prison for a while because of it.

The part of this story that I want more detail on is how the bookkeeper manager to hide an 8ball a day cocaine habit from her husband.

I doubt she really did. But on the other hand, I've known addicts who you'd swear were clean, because they were so good at hiding it.
