I am using Firefox (115) and I am missing the favicon in the tab for lemmy.world. The favicon appears in the bookmarks window, but not in tab for the website.

I've tried to clear the cache and reloading the page, but the favicon still does not appear in Firefox. It does appear, however, when using Chrome. Likewise, other instances such as lemmy.one and programming.dev also work in Firefox (as shown in the screenshot), so this appears to be specific to lemmy.world's favicon.

This isn't a big deal, but I was wondering if anyone else using Firefox experiencing this issue?

I have the same issue with link previews not showing the lemmy.world icon in the app I’m working on. I use the Google api for fetching FavIcons in my app, and all other instances are working fine. I know lemmy.world icons were working in the last couple of days, so it’s likely something to do with the last 2 updates. It’s returning a 404 now, and I don’t actually see any favicons listed in the HTML head anymore.

Yup, I've been having the same issue on Firefox. I was actually just trying to post about this in the wrong community. It may seem like a silly thing to bring up, but Lemmy has taken a coveted spot as a pinned tab in my browser, and I'd love to see a favicon rather than the default globe icon.

Ok, good to know that it isn't just me.
