~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

Gandalf wasn't in Starfleet. He'd be busted down to Ensign. He wouldn't even be allowed to wear a white uniform. Except on formal dress occasions of course.
Gandalf the White is in Medical. Hence the white clothes.
Or is he in engineering? Depends which Trek era we're talking about I guess.
On the other hand, maybe he'd be promoted to captain for killing the Balrog!
