It would be pretty short though, we don't know much about the Sumerians
Yet as inventors of the written language, they are the oldest peoples of whom we have any first-hand knowledge about.
Hundreds of thousands of clay tablets describing everything from "Frank owes Mitch two heads of cattle" and odes to beer drinking on a sunny late afternoon, to aches and gripes about how things are going downhill and these damn kids today, things were so much better in MY days yadda yadda yadda.
