It’s like EA, but Embracer is just speedrunning being EA. Fuck Embracer.
EA is a bad videogame company. Embracer is a bad investment fund of the same caliber of the investment funds ruining everything else in the world. They are not even in the same league of fucked up.
Greed destroying the world, one place at a time.
Being owned my Embracer must feel like a death sentence at this point. I mean even if your studio has been spared cuts or closures so far how safe can you really feel with the higher-ups desperately throwing everyone overboard to stop the ship from going under.
To be blunt, if the owner sets the company up for sale, all the seniors in the company start sending out resumes. Always, always villainize the owner(s) who did the selling.
Fuck. I didn’t even know they were working on a new DX game. Got my hopes up and smashed them in one sentence.
Of course it's embracer group, they're probably embracing for bankruptcy because they don't have much of a future

What’s more, Embracer decided to erase the mobile game Deus Ex Go from existence, ripping it away from people who’d already paid, though I hear it may still be playable if you have it downloaded.
Since Embracer’s 2022 buying spree, it has also shut down TimeSplitters studio Free Radical Design, closed Saints Row developer Volition, and has reportedly been looking to sell Borderlands maker Gearbox.
