I AM - Thank you for your service! :-D
And now as thanks, a picture of a cat for no reason whatsoever - as is tradition!

Wrong millennia ... you want Egyptian history in aisle 18 ... this is Rome you Barbarian
Oh... what about this one?
Cats. Always appreciated.
Except by dogs I guess... :-D
Some dogs love cats too!
Yummy!? :-P
I simply have very little to contribute.
I usually delete over half the comments and posts I make because I keep thinking nobody gives a shit about what I have to say. I'm afraid some troll is going to pop out of nowhere and tell me to go kill myself. Reddit scarred me.
So, this isn't reddit. Report that shit, if it happens on lemmy.
You should kiss yourself. Pad yourself on the shoulder and tell the trolls to fuck off into the sunrise.
For short, KYS.

Don't take the Internet seriously. We have Shitpost and meme communities after all.
don't delete. you have value.
Listen, bucko, you take the post you've written, store it in your pocket, and go have a wonderful day.
Never can know if people are interested if you keep deleting things. Take a chance, we are relatively anonymous here.
Also haters aren't trolls, nothing wrong with a bit of trolling.
Ya, people can be kinda sociopathic these days
Nothing special man. I just like FOSS but I'm too lazy to make memes myself so I mostly lurk and comment
This emoji was so damn big I thought it was an image.
prefixing it with "#
" makes it a heading (larger text).
I just tought it was Voyager doing that because the whole comment was an emoji.
Edit: Just remembered this also works 👍
Combining everything:
👍
I comment a lot but seldom post. As stated a few times, I don't feel I have much to contribute post-wise
I get that too. It's a flaw of my character, I guess, that stems from past experience on other social media platforms I've used throughout my life.
But, I've been trying, but probably not as much as I could...
I just browse things for fun, mostly. I rarely have anything important to add, so I rarely even comment.
I did try making a few memes, but I don't really have ideas for general memes. I only make memes for specific friends about some very specific thing they or I said or did, and those don't really fit in here.
I'm lazy, and just here for the lulz
I am a serial lurker.... ama
Why not paralel?
Unfortunately I am not great at multitasking :-D
What's the answer to life, the universe, everything?
Also, what's your favourite colour?
the disparity between posters and subscribers is larger than expected.
in the community i moderate, there are just 2 consistent posters (including myself) and about 3000 subs, of which a good 150 seem to be active in total. that's 0.05 of the aggregate subscribers.
Same in my community (FullMoviesOnYoutube). Really not sure why, but I really appreciate the few others who are sharing posts.
Just don't have a lot to say, or time to say it.
😤👎/jk
I just don't have the time or interest to comment. I sure as heck can be bothered to follow up on replies.
I want a time machine to go back in time to teach the crowd in the coliseum the 7 nation army chant so I can hear it being chanted while 2 gladiators go at it.
I see a lot of comments saying that people comment, but I'll occasionally post videos when I see them come out, get zero responses, and will see the same video on Reddit with thousands of responses. These aren't small communities either - the videos community on lemmy.world has thousands of subscribers, but few videos have any comments.
I don't think it's necessarily an issue with people not posting enough. I think there just aren't enough people to sustain a social network with thousands of communities.
I post a bit too, but honestly posting a link is not that much of a stretch. Just try starting more discussions topic posts if you want people to join.
For the glory of Rome
Why post if it coukd get deleted by some faceless bureaucratic nerds who think people should and do read "the rules" before posting. What I've been doing lately is to write the comment to get it out of my sysyem, and then press the back button.
Not lemmy's fault, this is just what going to reddit does.
I have created posts on Lemmy and enjoyed watching other users comment and engage with them. I think I enjoy it more than someone responding to my comments.
Me too! Posting is fun!
