Bit early for muscaria? Like several months early?

We're in peak season for them in the southern hemisphere, so it's a bit unusual to see them fruiting in the north. But then I don't know the area, maybe some of them just like to fruit in spring there?

Very cool! Were you going out specifically looking for mushrooms or just happen upon one? I've always wanted to see a real Euro-asian muscaria in person, the nice red guys. Very jealous :)
