I'm not sure I like the double damage idea specifically, that seems like it would be too OP unless you also doubled or tripled the cooldown and even that might be too much.
I do think the idea of using longer button combos to modify stratagems in some way is cool though. I'm just not sure of the best implementation. Maybe allowing for additional incendiary or explosive damage? Idk. It's a cool concept at least.
Agreed. It was just an example to get the discussion started. There is all sorts of ways you could expand the idea.
I think maybe side grades to existing strategies that we could unlock with one of the in-game currencies would be neat and could add onto the strategem combo. Could call in the base strategem and then if you choose have the extra combo for the modifier you unlocked
Or maybe a longer pattern for increased accuracy of the artillery.
I feel a dedicated designator call-down would be a better way to do this still (call down designator, call arti, designate individual targets during arti strike).
