I don’t interpret the title as satire. If you haven’t read the book called “The Gun” by CJ Chivers, you should.

Narrator: They were not still good.

While AKs are robust, they are still mechanical devices. The mythology around them has given them the alleged power to transcend the limits of the physical. They have limits. They jam, they degrade, and they break.

They obviously had a hard life, and probably worked for a very long time. Still definitely recommend that book.
